Today is the day we wish the happiest of happy birthdays to a man who has featured quite heavily here at my journal.

Jensen Ackles - the man who bought Dean Winchester to life; great actor, great singer, ovary murderer, and all round delightful human being.

Thankyou for being a large part of my life for the last fifteen years!

A weekend to remember!

It's been a wonderful weekend, not least because Saturday was my birthday, but to be honest, this year my birthday took a bit of a back seat. You see it's my Mum's birthday tomorrow, and it's her 80th, so that really was something to celebrate! So because it was on the Saturday, I spent my birthday celebrating my Mum's birthday!

Along with my family, or in particular, Mum's two sisters and my olderst cousin, we'd arranged a surprise dinner for Mum, and had been working on this via Whatsapp for about 6 months. It was in a nice pub called The Vine close to where she and my Dad live, and Mum believed that she was just going there to have dinner with me, Dad and Mr D.

In the end, thankfully, we managed to keep the secret right until the end (despite a couple of near misses), and when she turned up at the pub, she got the surprise of her life (in the best way!)

Remembering June

Today is June's birthday. It's the first since we lost her, and I'm not going to pretend it's not painful.

But I'm comforted by the thought that she's in Jack's heaven sharing a pie with Dean, or as best you CAN share a pie with Dean. There might be a bit of good-natured shoving and argy-bargy involved because Dean needs to learn who's boss - and it ain't him, but we all know that our JJ will get her share of the pie, and make sure Dean gets his too.

Can't speak for everyone else though :)

Today, 2nd May, is the day when we celebrate the birthday of the younger and taller Winchester.

Sam, he of the epic bitchface, the irrresistable puppy eyes, and the beautiful, long silky hair that is the envy of everyone.
