As you're aware, I had my birthday with this incredible crowd in Venice:

And previously they had asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I'd said all I wanted to do was go out for a birthday meal with my gang on my birthday evening - so we did (above).

However, after we had wandered around visiting the Basillica and Doges Palace during the day, as we were walking back to the apartment,

amberdreams asked me back to her apartment as she had a birthday gift for me.

As the others went back to the big apartment, I went back with Amberdreams and we sat and chatted as she handed over gifts of a bottle of wine and some gorgeous little bunny pictures. Then she suggested we head back to the main apartment that I was sharing with six other people as they were probably all ready for dinner.

Oblivious me strolled back to the apartment with Amberdreams, not expecting a thing, only to be welcomed by a load of Supernatural masks and an invitation to join a birthday scavenger hunt!

It was such an amazing surprise and way over and above anything I was expecting ...

I managed to eventually complete the scavenger hunt (with a little help, I was feeling particularly thick that day) and my prize was incredible - two photo ops for JIBcon, a Mark Sheppard photo and a photo with Matt Cohen and Ricky Whittle.

It was such an amazing surprise, I was speechless, and definitely made the most of the photos when we eventually got to JIB - more on that later!!
