Day 2 - In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.
I've had some degree of trouble meeting any goals that I've set myself over the last few years as life's path has had more wobbles than a plate of Jelly!
As well as the upheaval created throughout and after Covid (remember that??) I've had disruption at work, eyesight issues that resulted in surgery, my Dad having a near death experience, My parents moving into assisted living earlier this year and my Dad's total apathy towards his own wellbeing almost driving him to encore his near death experience just before Christmas this year. In addition, I've had a few mental health ups and downs which I'm convinced is due to a combination of all the above plus menopause equalling me at times feeling like a complete basketcase
So with all that in mind, my focus on me has been ... well, it just hasn't!
So, one thing I'm not going to do is put myself under pressure by setting myself challenging goals. I'm a mental health first aider and I just need to take some of my own advice for once; I need to be kind to myself and ask for help when I need to.
That's it. Sorry, it's not very interesting, but my life's been interesting enough recently. I just want a bit of contented stability for a while!
