Over my years of writing fanfic, I've built up a little collection of hurty-comfort one-shots that involve hurt/sick/cranky!Dean and awesome!Sam. Throughout the collection, I've thrown in some humour, some angst, some schmoopy hurty/comfort, and I've called this little collection, 'It Takes Two'.

I've decided to give these stories an airing over here at last, so I'm going to be posting one story a day for the next few days ...

I wanted to challenge myself.

Well, I had nothing better to do ... so - do I run a marathon? do I learn a foreign language? do I travel the world on the back of a donkey?

I know - I'll write a really dark and angsty torture-fic. Exactly what any well adjusted, mentally stable individual would do.

So herewith ...

NUMBER FIFTY

Someone - or something - is scaring people to death in New York; Bobby's on the case, but opinion is divided on whether or not he needs the Winchesters' help. But those boys; they just won't take no for an answer …

I have based this fic very loosely around one of London's most famous ghost stories; that of the fatally hideous spirit of number fifty, Berkeley Square. I have used the most basic details of the story, and embellished, warped and fiddled with them for my own nefarious purposes!

Sunday afternoon and I'm enjoying the glorious sounds and smells of husband cooking the dinner while curled up on the couch with my laptop and a glass of wine.

Here's to role reversal in the Dizzo household :D *raises glass*

On the subject of role reversal; I'm rather partial to a spot of Winchester role reversal with a sensible Sammy looking after a poorly Dean!

Therefore, as a follow-up to my story, In Sickness and in Stealth, posted yesterday, I post a prequel which covers the dramatic pneumonia / pleurisy / spitting blood / midnight hospital dash referred to by a bitchfaced Sam in that fic.

Well, that came and went didn't it? I am heartened to know that I must have been a good girl in 2010 because Santa was very good to me- either that or it was a bribe to try to do better in 2011 ... who knows?

What I did get, however, was lots of delicious time off to explore LJ and start finding my way around ... as I may have mentioned once or twice before, I'm a bit slow on the uptake about things like this :)

In my confused wanderings, I discovered the wonderful world of Hoodie-Time, and started posting a couple of bits over there, and herewith goes the experiment - to link them to my journal ... wish me luck !

Sometimes, the cure is worse than the disease ...

A Lyndworm hunt goes south and Dean suffers as a result, nightmarish visions and awesome Sam and Bobby abound, whilst my old friend Tom Matthews from 'Dry' makes an appearance. A word on Tom; Tom Matthews is my OC; he has only been seen before in my story 'Dry' where Bobby describes him as an old friend, a Doctor who runs an 'off the books' clinic looking after hunters. He is described as short and plump with expressive dark brown eyes. In their first meeting when Dean was, once again, in bad straights, Sam liked him and trusted him on sight.

My story, 'Dry' is not yet posted on LJ, but can be found on Fanfiction.net, under my author name of Dizzo.
